ALGWA Releases 50:50 Vision - A National Program for Gender Equity in Local Government

At the ALGWA Biennial National Conference held in April, the Chair of ALGWA’s National Steering Committee launched the ALGWA Report ’50:50 Vision – A National Program for Gender Equity in Local Government’.
The report introduces the next phase of the implementation of the National Framework for Women in Local Government. It launches a number of initiatives under the banner 50:50 Vision which provides a ten year plan to advance gender equity in Australian Local Government.
