Australia Day Honours

Among the awards listed in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List are two people with an ALGWA connection: former Latrobe City Councillor Helen Hoppner, an ALGWA member from 1996 to 2000, and President from 1998-2000, has been awarded an Order of Australia Medal, and Sheila Byard, the current President of the Victorian Branch of the National Council of Women, has also received the same Medal. Our warm congratulations to both.
