History publication wins award!

The Victorian Community History Awards for 2015 were announced at a special function at the Victorian Arts Centre on Monday 19th October. There are various categories for the Awards, and our book ‘The right to vote; the right to stand …’ was entered in the Small Publication section – ‘for the best small, limited run publication or e-book which features Victorian local, cultural or social history. There were six finalists, and while we didn’t win the main prize, we were one of the five to receive a commendation. The book is now in its third edition, and copies can be purchased from the secretary for $15 or a special reduced cost of $5 for members; p&p not included.
